Dr. Ing. Benjamin Krick reports about smartwin entrance like this (paraphrase of German content below):

"According the window system category we started the door system category. Here we add and calculate a glaced side element and other optional junctions, like two sash door. As first producer pro Passivhausfenster reached with smartwin entrance this new kind of certificate. At the sime time the door system smartwin entrance is first one certified for cold climate"

"In Anlehnung an des Fenstersystem wurde das Türsysten eingeführt. Dabei werden zusätzlich ein verglastes Seitenteil und optional weitere Schnitte, beispielsweise für eine zweiflügelige Tür, mit berechnet. Als erstes Türsystem konnte die Passivhauskomponente smartwin entrance, pro Passivhausfenster GmbH, zertifiziert werden. Die Haustüre ist auch für das kalte Klima geeignet."
